Mission & Vision

Too often we take our lifestyle and environments for granted, ignoring the simple comforts that we so easily enjoy; the foods we eat, the things we read/watch, the people we see and the activities we are able to do on a daily basis. As a consequence, we can’t imagine living without these basic comforts, the life most cancer patients endure for years.

Many young adults are not able to enjoy the lifestyle to which we are accustomed, living confined to their hospital beds, bathed in fluorescent lights, facing white walls, blaring TV’s, in cramped quarters with similarly sick, loud patients.

We can't let our loved ones live this way.

The ALT Foundation is working to re-think these hospital cancer centers by constructing a space where young cancer patients can feel safe, cared-for, protected and comfortable. We would like to build peaceful environments, helping patients to better receive alternative treatments and rejuvenation methods such as acupuncture, massage, meditation, homeopathic, and more. Spirit, energy and hope are frequently overlooked factors in the battle against illness. This is something we would like to change.

The ALT Foundation would also like to offer real-world educational opportunities such as homeschooling and/or individual tutoring to help provide real job skills and education.

Our aim is to bring the outside world in, to provide the nurturing environment and healing space that our loved ones deserve.
